This Jensen New Vintage Ceramic C12R-8 25W 8 Ohm 12 inch vintage guitar speaker has an unmistakably vintage tone. However, this is a new twist on the original vintage Jensen guitar speaker. Partly because it is being manufactured by Jensen in Italy. However, they have followed the original specifications for years now there. By now they have matched the tone (and one audio engineer says they “nailed it”) as closely as possible with these reproductions – while also meeting the demands of a modern speaker. So this Jensen New Vintage Ceramic C12R-8 25W 8 Ohm 12 inch guitar speaker is recently manufactured, and therefore brand new. It is in the original box from the manufacturer, which has never been opened: New in box (NIB).
You can purchase more than listed for this same price and we can have it for you in a few days, provided our supplier has them in stock, which they should. Our aim is to ensure that the tone of our guitar speakers CAN match the tone expected by the guitar community. Jensen provides guitar tone samples for you to listen to before you purchase. Celestion does not provide such guitar tone samples. However, Celestion speakers are already famous for their tone. Typically, you begin your hunt for guitar tone samples on any guitar speaker‘s specifications page (see link above).
Any buyer who does not already know this product takes responsibility for: Finding, sampling, and recreating the tone they seek. This vintage guitar speaker is one of many important building blocks of your guitar tone: Including your (1) guitar playing ability, (2) your amp, (3) your guitar etc. This vintage guitar speaker should give you the analog space that you need to let your true guitar tone shine. It will not make you play as well as the guitarists performing the guitar tone samples. Seriously, no bad feedback, returns, or issues in eBay over tone issues.
Celestion’s website provides information on how to break in a guitar speaker. This should be done before using any guitar speaker. This ensures that the speaker provides true tone.
Beyond all of these considerations, guitar speaker tone is also by nature a subjective criteria. Therefore we can make no promises in terms of communicating with you about it.

Once you open that cardboard box, you sift through the heavy brown paper. Under it, you will discover the manufacturer’s box. Inside their box is one guitar speaker.
Will it fit/function?
Buyer makes it fit/work – Buyer decides where and how to use our part/item – with what other items.
- Assembly – Buyer decides what to do with purchased item/part. We trust that our customers, as technicians, know how to put together the parts that we sell.
- Technical Support – This speaker does not come with a tech support contract to help you make the speaker fit or function in your chosen amp, cabinet, or other destination. The buyer, may, however, contact the manufacturer directly to begin your warranty coverage, (where applicable) and address any covered issues/concerns.
- Compatibility – Buyer assumes responsibility for matching the specifications of their destination equipment of choice against those of our equipment (above) before purchase.
